Homemade Apple Wine

As we look forward to a wonderful fall harvest, my mind immediately wanders to all the awesome fruit we are going to be able to bring in. With three apple trees, two plum and one peach, when everything is in full swing, that can be a lot of fruit. While I certainly will be eating fruit right off the limb and baking pies and such, I also want to can and preserve and much as possible. One of the ways of preservation that I would love to figure out how to do would be to preserve some of that fruit in the form of wine.

Think you can have a respectful, meaningful political debate on Facebook? Think again. Let me set the stage for you. A link to and article from Scoop.it entitled In budget showdown, GOP favors Pentagon over spending for the poor was shared on Facebook with a summary quote stating:
Fully one-fourth of the House GOP spending cuts come from programs directly benefiting the poor, such as Medicaid, food stamps, the Social Services Block Grant, and a child tax credit claimed by working immigrants. Federal workers would have to contribute an additional 5 percent of their salaries toward their pensions, while people whose incomes rise after receiving coverage subsidies under the new health care law would lose some or all of their benefits.
...to which the original poster commented, 'And this, from the 'family values' party.'
